October Loss Due Dates and First u/s

Hi, all. 

I'm feeling all kinds of emotions today.  I looked at DH last night and it occurred to me that if I hadn't had a loss, we'd be having a BABY this week... We'd likely still be in the hospital right now.  My original due date was October 1, and with gestational diabetes I know that we wouldn't be allowed to go past 39 1/2 weeks.  It makes me sad that we'll never get to meet him (I believe it was a him although I have no confirmation). 

That said, I can't help but be cautious about our first u/s on Wednesday.  I'm taking the day off from work (gladly!) and I'm praying that everything is ok in there.  I have lots of fibroids, so I'm not sure if they caused a problem or they will cause a problem this time.  I just want a healthy baby.  I'm 35 (soon), so I want to have this baby soon!  It must be even harder to face a due date without a follow up pregnancy (duh), so I'm thinking about all the TTCAL gals and how wonderful they are... ALL of us are, and NONE of us deserved this, and it's just not fair.  I'm trying to stay positive (DH says me stressing out isn't good for THIS baby) but I can't be all smiles and rainbows, at least not yet.  I still can't even look at baby stuff, I'm terrified.  I'm only 7 1/2 weeks, too.  I have a LOT of time to go...

Hugs. Both times I got to loss edd I was not pregnant and it was very hard. I hope this ultrasound goes well.

Lots of hugs lady!! My EDD is Oct 11th and it's getting harder to see all these little ones being born. I'm here for you!!!

This year I would have had my August baby on the 25th, we hit 12 weeks the day before so I chose this day to share with the world that we are expecting. I wrote a nice Facebook post about how we/I had been dreading the arrival of this day but that we are excited for march to come!

You maybe could write on a balloon with your so and let them go into the sky.

I hope you have a great u/s! I was not pg at my loss edd. I am actually on the same timeline with this pregnancy as I was with my loss. I have my first appt on the 11th. I scheduled it for a Friday afternoon partly because if I get bad news I can go straight home.

Thanks, all... One more day.  I can't wait till Wednesday.  Let's face it, though.  I won't be happy until this baby is born safely.  I hope my body takes good care of him/her!
