So just got back from my 37 week appointment. Baby is great but When the doctor went to check me and her response was "Oh wow!" I started to panic. I am already 3 cm dilated and 100% effaced. Doctor said she would be SHOCKED if baby Beckett stays in more than 7 more days. As she walked out, I overheard her tell the nurse to print off all my information because "she is ready to go!"

Yay and yikes!! We got an ultrasound right after and his head is measuring one week small! Very excited about that. Makes me think it possibly might hurt less.

Really hoping this baby stays in until at least the 1st... I really want an October baby!

I really don't know why Dr's say things like that..... you could go early, but you might not. My SIL with ALL her kids sat at 3/4 cm for almost a month before she went into labor. There is no guarantee. I have been 2cm since 36 weeks and now am almost 4cm since being checked yesterday. Most likely you will make it to your DD or right before

My doctor said the same thing. I am 3 cm, 85% effaced, and baby is at 0 station. I've lost a pound and a half, which she claims can predict labor, but honestly, who knows. I'm just happy to have made so much progress without pain.
