Spotting or discharge?

This morning I noticed a slight pinkish/light brown discharge when I wiped after urinating. My LMP is August 15th and I should be around 5 weeks & 5 days. I called my dr. And they were able to take me in for a quick ultra sound this morning. They were able to find my little bean an assured me that things looked normal thus far but they were unable to detect the HB (which they said was early to anyways). I have my first prenatal appointment Monday for blood work and normal testing. I was relieved until this afternoon the spotting/discharge happened again this afternoon. I've had slight cramping for 3 weeks but it just feels like normal on and off period cramping...any advice? Is this normal in the first trimester? This is my first pregnancy.

    TW loss mentioned 

    **BFP#1 9/5/12   EDD 5/15/13  changed to 5/25/13 after u/s,  missed mc 10/19/12.  D and C 10/22/12** 
     **BFP#2 9/12/13  EDD 5/16/14 changed to 5/27/14 after u/s, hb 126 on 10/11/13, miscarriage on 10/24.13**
    ~RPL testing results from 12/6/13 show everything normal except elevated prolactin. Blood work is now in the normal range. All AL welcome!

    I've been going through a similar experience. Obviously you'll be discussing this with your dr, but there are many reasons you could be spotting including implantation bleeding, so you don't need to think the worst. I hope you get some more answers on Monday and that everything is ok in there!
