Help me shop GTKY.

As I've mentioned before, I have around 30 people we buy for at Christmas.  That's mostly kids.  The kids I have no problem with.  The adults are tripping me up. 

Tell me either the best gift you've given or received for these things so I can perhaps be a little more creative this year. :-)

We pick names with my siblings and this year I have my oldest sister and my DH has my brother. I typically spend around $75 each on adults for Christmas, and slightly less for the kids.

I can't quote on this new format.  This is actually an excellent idea.  We're going to the Outerbanks for family vacation next summer.  This would be a fantastic idea since I know we were talking about going on a dolphin watch!  Thanks Lois!

Also, my ironic gift for my nieces this year are 1D pillowcases.  My nieces are 22 and 15 and both of them are bananas over 1D. :-)

For/From DH: For, DH would say the Rambo 2 knife I got him. He tells everyone that that is his best gift ever. He is big into toys and movie replicas. He got the Back to the Future Hoover board last Christmas.  From: DH always picks me out something from Tiffany's. I love everything he has given me.

For/From Parent: For: my parents would say the weekend get away in Austin we gave them. A really nice rental and tickets to a small concert. They have 7 Grandkids and last year we gave them a 7 opening framed picture with each kid holding a letter that spells out Grandpa (that one was sports themed) and one that spells Grandma (that one was dressed in their best theme). From: babysitting and gift card to a nice restaurant.

For/From Sister: My sister and I love shopping so we usually just send each other gift cards and fun things from The Today Show Steals and Deals segment.

For/From Brother: One year we gave my brother an outdoor patio heater lamp thing. It was a nice one like you see at restaurants. I got it on black Friday for $100. He loves it and uses it all the time.

Most ironic/funny gift you've given/received: I plan on getting DH this glow in the dark car track shirt from the boys. He is always just laying on the floor and letting the boys climb all over him.

For/From DH: tickets to a wine tasting class, the orchestra (playing Xmas music), gift certificate for auto detailing (yes, that was from him to me)

For/From Parent: I do a lot of etsy shopping for the parents and the gifts are normally personalized and grandparent/child related

For/From Sister: for my best friend, I bought her earrings (from etsy) that had her birthstone and my birthstone

For/From Brother: a case of hand selected beers- all different individual bottles

Most ironic/funny gift you've given/received- hmm...a Sigmund freud action figure?
