Swelling Down There

I had a third degree tear and stitches for my DS's delivery one week ago. Holy cow- no one warned me how much I would swell down there! I'm wondering how long the swelling will last? Yes, I'm doing witch hazel and cold packs etc. My postpartum nurse described it perfectly: baboon lips! haha!!!

    Oh man I know your pain, had the same tear! I hope it heals fast for you. Are you taking an anti-inflamatory? I was prescribed 600mg of Ibuprophen every 6 hours and that helped A LOT! At about 2 weeks the swelling started to subside. HTH
