I was on bed rest last week and had an ultrasound this morning to see how the sch are doing. They actually got bigger, so it's another week of bed rest. I'm trying to stay positive, but bed rest was tough. I was ok with it thinking I was helping out my situation, but when I heard one got bigger, I was ready to cry. It was a bit challenging going out on a personal leave, too. I'm a teacher and parents didnt take to well to my absence so early in the year. One even called the office demanding to know why I was out and when I'd return...what the heck?! I'm a person, too, not just some robot teacher. Thankfully the few people I did tell have been really protective of me.
I'm trying to remind myself that baby comes first and of course I'd do anything to keep that little blueberry safe. Anyone else to through this, too?
Thanks for listening...vent over.

Yes.. baby comes first. I had an SCH from weeks 6-12. The first two weeks I was on bed rest, the 3rd week I went to modified bed rest and the SCH started to reabsorb. I had bleeding / spotting for about 3 weeks.
I think you'll find a mix of responses, some women do bed rest..others don't. My RE was strict with the bed rest. I'm 16 weeks with no SCH . Take it easy, rest, find some projects to do while resting (reading, scrapbooking, knitting, make a recipe book, pinterest, start a new TV series).
It was really hard for me to walk away from work as well for a few weeks, put yourself and baby first
Best of luck!!

You are right, baby comes first! Sorry you're going through this. No experience with a SCH but I was pulled from work completely this week, no going back, at only 13 weeks. It was a hard pill to swallow, but it had to be done. I felt bad leaving some of my clients in a lurch, but it's beyond my control!

Hugs. I would be upset too. You are doing all that you can and to hear that they got bigger is very disappointing. And as for those parents they will have to get over it. You and your baby is what matters most.

Thank you all for the reassurance. You are so sweet. I've been worried sick and feeling helpless because the bleed got bigger. I'm panicked and google doesn't help. But I will try to relax even more this week and definitely drink more water (even though water makes me nauseous... so weird you can't make this stuff up). I'm hoping another week of rest is what does the trick this time!

I had a small SCH around 7 weeks. Had 2 bleeds that really freaked me out. I think bc it was small my RE was not concerned. IT did clear up in about a week.
I hope yours reabsorbs quickly and you are off bed rest. In the mean time rest up and drink lots of water.
