Questions about frozen embryos

Does anyone know the process of putting frozen embryos in? Do you have to do more injections or do they put them in like an IVF ET?

You will probably need to take some meds to help boost your lining. I had to take oral estrogen and had patches added because it wasn't a great lining. 5 days before transfers I started progesterone and take that daily. My RE only does PIO for frozen transfers, so suppositories were not an option.

It's much easier as far as injections go. Same process as for a fresh cycle in terms of transfer.

The actual transfer is exactly the same.

The protocol you will follow leading up to the transfer can vary, but usually entails fewer injections/meds than a fresh cycle.

Thank you. I wasn't sure if it was the same type of injections, since the eggs were already taken out and fertilized

You can actually do an unmedicated cycle if you want (assuming you ovulate naturally, etc), but I have never tried one (my RE said the clinic has better success rates with medicated).  For medicated FET cycles, some people are just on estrogen and progesterone, some on estrogen, progesterone, and Lupron, etc -- the protocol varies according to clinic and what works best for the patient.
