Help us with our baby girl name!

DH and I have been going back and forth between three names, and cannot choose which we like best. We aren't planning on telling anyone in our families the name we choose until she is born, so I'm asking for your help! Which of the three do you like best? ... Middle names will be a whole other challenge

Arielle is too frilly for me. I love Ariel though.

Arielle is the only one I'm not sick of hearing. Definitely do the feminine spelling. Not only is Ariel masculine, the current association with Ariel Castro is...well, awful.

I voted for Arielle. I like Ariel too since it reminds me of The little mermaid.

It has ruined it for DH, and I, as well! But it's still one of my all-time favourite names for a girl. Maybe for baby #2 or 3 when the name isn't so publicly tainted anymore.

I prefer Abigail, but I may be a bit partial as I have my own Abigail (Abby).

Maybe it's a regional thing? I can't think of anyone I know who is named Abigail, or anyone who has named their baby that recently (and ALL of our friends seemed to have babies this year). Maybe it's on the top baby names list? I haven't even checked those out yet.

ETA: looking at the top baby girl names for the past 13 years, Abigail has been in the top 10ish every year. Hmm. Guess its popular somewhere other than where we live!

Abigail is the only top 10 name I would strongly consider for a child despite its popularity, because I love it so much (and personally I hardly ever hear it, despite having friends with classic/biblical naming styles), so it's definitely my favorite from your list.  Chloe is nice too, but also popular.  Arielle is NMS, but I wouldn't side-eye it.
