Med mix up= two butt shots...OUCH!

Just a rant, but seriously. Only me. I get delestrogen IM injections on Tuesday and Friday. PIO started tonight. I was well aware of this. I "assumed" DH was, too. You know what they say when you assume! So, I ice my hip, DH jabs the shot in and after, asks, "It was .35, right?" OMG! That's my estrogen amount AND it was estrogen he gave me...crap, crap, crap! I called the RE after hours freak-out line and heard back from my RE pretty quickly, thank goodness! He said it's not a big deal and I 'might' have a little spotting in a day or two, but he doubts it. But, I did need to get stabbed in my rump again for the PIO. My butt is SORE!!! Seriously, can't DH read the freaking calendar, too?! If I have to keep up with this crap, is it asking too much for him to read the calendar laying RIGHT NEXT TO the meds?!?!?!?!

For paybacks, I wanted to jab him in his butt with a fat needle...maybe when he's least expecting it! Ok. Rant over

Oh boy!! Sorry about the (literal) PITA bonehead mistake! I'm glad it's not a big deal, but I'm sure in the moment before your doc called you back it was sheer panic. I am literally giggling out loud reading your last paragraph about paybacks!! Thank goodness you still have your sense of humor in all of this

I'm so sorry! This is the exact reason I draw everything up and just hand the needle to DH when I'm ready for the shot.

Sorry about the sore butt.

This is why I always draw up the meds, even if DH is giving me the shot. He is not very detail oriented and is notorious for "forgetting" things. I wouldn't trust him to draw up the right dosage without me double checking, so I just do it myself.

It was sheer panic before the RE called! I was absolutely sure he would call and say that we couldn't do the FET on Friday because of it...overreaction much?!

I think I'll take all of your advice and draw up my own meds from now on. For the longest time, I couldn't even look at the needles so DH just did it all. But, I'm way over that now (who knew that would have happened!) and it will save my sanity! My poor RE, he's so understanding and was so glad I called so I didn't spend the entire weekend flipping out. Poor DH feels like a huge boob now! Ha! He already feels bad enough having to do it once and always asks, "Did that one hurt?" Uh, yeah. It freaking hurts...and so did the second one you did because you didn't pay attention!!! I'm sure my raging hormones aren't helping the situation!!
