Hey there ladies, So I looked through the older discussions but didn't find that many responses. Have any of you recently delivered (or plan to deliver) at Jackson Memorial Hospital? I am under the care of a UHealth doctor and they only work there. I know Holtz Hospital has the biggest Level III NICU in the state, which I like. This is my 2nd pregnancy after losing my daughter at 22 weeks. I'm looking to have a good and mostly SAFE experience giving birth, and most importantly to ensure the care of my baby. Anyone with experiences at Jackson, please chime in.
I delivered my son at Jackson Memorial. My OB was/is also a UM dr and I love her. I had almost considered switching drs only because some people told me that Jackson "wasn't that nice of a hospital...etc etc" but I loved my OB so much that I stayed. Come to find out, it was the best decision ever b/c I was diagnosed with pre-e at 28w. My son spent 4 months in the NICU at Holtz. The hospital and the rooms may not be fancy but I am so happy I chose to stay with a hospital that knew what they were doing. I hope that helps you.
