No obvious symptoms and still asked if I was pregnant

So yesterday my co-worker texted me and flat out asked if I was pregnant, she said she kept having dreams I was. I responded not that I was aware of but we had been talking about it. I joked with her today at work about her having dreams about me, she basically said she is not convinced and thinks I am and pointed out I was tired today. I will add I have had no obvious symptoms at work except for peeing more often, but I am by myself a lot so people don't know that, and my shirt is too baggy for my boobs or bloat to be obvious. Also today was my Monday, we have a tiring job, and I didn't sleep a lot last night which I told her, so being tired is not strange. I am slightly impressed at her intuitiveness, she said there was something about me, but I am more annoyed at even being asked! I mean one I kind of feel like it is saying I look fat, two it's none of her business, and three she is not the first person I would tell because I feel like five minutes later everyone would know! I am not really sure how to deal with her right now. I mean unless you are tiny with a giant baby belly, when is that ever an acceptable question to ask someone?

  • You could try telling her about your dream and see if that shuts her up.

Early on when I was pregnant with my son, my sister called and asked because she had a dream I was too.  It's weird, but at least it's my sister so I was going to tell her first anyway.

  • Thanks guys, I don't actually think she is calling me fat and I am sure she has the best intentions. When I started working there she was pregnant and I feel like it will be great to talk to her when I am ready to announce it, I just feel like it was rude to ask and feel bad about lying. But I do not want to be pressured into telling before I am ready.
sisterjanet It is kind of awesome that your sister dreamt about it! I can't wait to tell mine and I am leaning towards telling her after the first ultrasound before we surprise the rest of the family.
  • That is kind of strange... Tho the first time I was pregnant I felt like I was giving out some kind of vibe because my co-workers/family would keep asking when we were going to have one.. Tia literally started right after I found out. And.. I had a feeling another coworker was pregnant, then a few weeks later someone told me she was. I swear, it's a vibe we give off! Regardless though, I would NEVER ask. I wait for e info to be offered
  • One of the girls at work is pregnant with her second baby. The day after I got my BFP I went to work and she asked my if I was pregnant. She said she just felt like I was pregnant!

  • Boggles my mind a little how people just know. Must be some strange vibe we put off, I wonder if I will gain this skill after having my first?
  • The day before I got my BFP, one of my best friends, who currently lives in a different state, messaged me out of the blue and asked if I was pregnant. At that point, I was pretty sure I was, & and I asked what made her so sure. She said she just knew. So weird!

  • The adjustment counselor at the high school I teach at, came up to me and asked me.  She she could see my "baby aura". I wasn't sure how to lie to her since we weren't telling anyone yet!
