I've been looking at onesies for Baby Snoopy. I had an odd question. Did you get regular onesies, or did you get the side snap tees? I was wondering which one would be better for the healing belly button and a circumcision. TIA!!
Either style is fine for healing, as long as it isn't too tight. I prefer side snaps for the NB-3m stage because it can be tricky to slip things over a tiny babies head!
Definitely get some side snaps! You will not want to pull things over your wobbly newborns head. Once they could control their heads more, I switched to the between the legs snaps.
Either work really. I like the side snap tops because they don't have to be pulled over the head, but onesies won't do any harm to the belly button or circumcision. We use both interchangeably.
I always go for the regular onesies but that's just my preference Aldo I buy the open ended night gowns because it makes midnight diaper changes so much easier and faster
I used regular onesies, both long sleeved and regular and had no issues with either the belly button or circ. I did make sure that the long sleeved ones had the little pockets that could fold over LO's hands. Those little fingernails are sharp!
My daughter lived in kimono style long sleeved t's for the first few weeks. Granted, I live in southern California, so temperature wasn't really a problem. She just wore the shirt, a diaper and was swaddled most of the time.
The side-snap shirts were so much easier with the wobbly head.
I used primarily the side snap shirts for the first week or two until the belly button healed a little better. Did not circumcise son so no opinions there.
