By groin, I mean the crease between the torso and the leg, like literally where the leg connects to the body. I never expected to feel twinges in this area. It has been happening intermittently for the past few days. It just feels like bearable sharp twinges most of the time, but yesterday I had one that was sharp enough to take my breath away. It seems to happen mostly after I have been standing up for a long time. My DH, who is a doctor, thinks that what I am describing sounds like nerve pain. Anyone else experiencing / experienced something similar? If it continues today, I am going to let my midwives know. But in the meantime, I am trying to not stand on my feet all day since that really seems to exacerbate it.
I have that. It hurts like h. Left side - dr said it was normal with everything loosening and just to bear with it. Yoga and stretching seem to help... It's the worst when I try to get up or turn over after laying down for a while....or lift my leg to get dressed. But like always - never a bad thing to ask if it doesn't feel normal!!!!!

I have this too (right side only), except mine is aggravated by sitting and then getting up to walk and is pretty constant. My dr. seemed to think it could be related to RLP, baby sitting on a nerve down there, or just loosening of my joints. Over the weekend I felt like if i took another step I might die. I spent most of yesterday lying down and feel much better today. I don't have an answer but wanted you to know you're not alone.
I have that too. Sometimes I feel like my legs are on the verge of popping out of my hip sockets. It's usually worse after a long day of being on my feet at work. I am assuming its just a combo of being on my feet and baby sitting so low.

This. After sitting for awhile both sides get sharp pain when I get up. It will usually get less intense as I walk around for a little bit but then I need to sit again. I have an my 34 wk appt on Friday so I am going to discuss it with my OB. I chalked it up to loose joints and RLP but I will find out if my Dr has anything else to say

Yep... the other night I was laying in bed and just started crying because it hurt too much to roll over and I was uncomfortable on that side. Pretty much any sort of movement now makes me cringe. It SUCKS! It hurts sooooooooo bad. I want to just sit and cry sometimes because constant pain sucks.
You are not alone. My doc said it's likely RLP as the body gets ready for delivery. I've had a few of those "take your breath away" ones too. For me, it's usually when I stand up too quickly.
Emergency ileostomy 11/28/10, CF dx on 12/3/10 and ileostomy takedown 1/24/11, feeding tube placed 7/1/11...still going strong!
