I love my husband to pieces and he has been amazing taking care of our son while I'm feeling miserable, but if he tells me ONE MORE TIME that morning sickness is "mind over matter" or psychological, I will lose my cool.
Ugh. I'd be ready to flip out as well! My DH keeps telling me "you can't be THAT sick, you haven't even thrown up yet." As if dry heaving all day isn't bad enough.
It must be a man thing. I can't help but wonder how they'd handle nonstop nausea and worse!
DH has shown no sympathy for me so far. I think he just cannot fathom what this is like to be nauseous all the time and so tired you can hardly function. Guys would not be able to handle this!
I just asked DH if he thought I was exaggerating my symptoms. My sister just told me she thought I was until a pregnant friend of hers told her she just didn't get it, and I was afraid DH might think the same. His answer? An emphatic "no!" Then he sweetly explained how he knows it's really hard right now. That baby daddy book I bought him is paying off big time.

Ugh I'd hit him so happy my DH isn't like that this is #2 for us, but I was hardly nauseas with #1 just very tired. With this pregnancy I fell yucky pretty much all day everyday and he's always asking if he can get me anything and offers to help with dinner (the smell of meat cooking makes me feel ill). So sorry your dh is being silly.

Haha you girls are wonderful! It's good to have a laugh about it. My husband is seriously amazing and he helps me all the time with our son and getting me all the Panera Mac n Cheese I want. I just shake my head at him sometimes because this is definitely not a mind over matter thing!
Mine has been quite supportive although i honestly have not been moody, tired or sick. But still uncomfortable and cranky when hungry. I find that he is starting to be more gentle and sweet and offering to do more (usually im super independant and not high maintenance).
He had a talk with a friend whose gf is pregnant and he was saying the gf told him she hates the way he breathes, hates the way he eats and hates everything he does right now. So i think that made him realize i could be a lot worse.
Also i think once i start showing, that will really make it hit home for him. They just dont realize how much is actually physically changing inside us!!
