The word is notorious for being incredibly difficult to pronounce, why would you name your daughter this?

TTC #1: February 1, 2014
BFP #1: 2/21/14 EDD: 10/31/14 (my birthday!) MMC: discovered 3/31/14 (blighted ovum) D&C: 4/3/14 at 9w6d

    This is the name of my aunt's BFF. She's 60+ I've never heard of another Anemone. Chosen because it's an uncommon flower name? (My best guess)

    It's a sea creature like coral, Nemo lived in the anemone. I don't get the attraction but I suppose I've heard worse

    Hm, this is a curious name choice. Maybe the parents are avid scuba divers and spend a lot of time around coral reefs. Or perhaps the are marine biologists. I actually think it sounds very feminine, but it will be difficult for a lot of people to pronounce.
    TTC since June, 2011 with anovulatory PCOS, 1 blocked tube, and mild MFI
    3rd cycles clomid + Ovidrel = BFN
    4th cycles letrozole/Ovidrel + IUI = BFN

    I knew someone with this name, hated her, but oddly liked her name.

    I don't think it's difficult to pronounce.

    It's definitely an unusual name choice, but it's pretty.

    I believe it is usually difficult for kids though. The Ns and Ms are hard and often get switched.

    This is one nature name I just can't get behind. Though I believe it was a Greek name (maybe just a Greek word?) first.

    Right, so much better as a boys name ;) lol. I agree though. Def nms. I do love anemone flowers though.
