Brio track Thomas trains compatible?

Wondering if brio tracks will allow Thomas trains to run smoothly on them? What about tunnels and bridges etc? Someone I know is selling a bunch of train tracks and want to make sure it will work. Are these tracks usually expensive?

    Wooden? Then yes.

    I think almost all brands of wooden trains/tracks are compatible. DS has a mix of Ikea, Thomas, Brio, Chuggington and no-name brand. A few track transitions are a little more bumpy but he doesn't mind.
