Poop question :)

So the past 2 days Alex went from the normal yellow mustard poops to really watery green ones. Happen to anyone else? Should I freak or is it normal? Call pedi tomorrow? Any advice is appreciated.

BFing? Could mean too much foremilk and not enough hindmilk (thicker).
    Or something you ate.

  • I am bfing and his schedule had changed a lot over the past few days because he is suddenly sleeping longer stretches. Maybe my milk is just still adjusting to the new schedule?

  • My pedi said all earth tones are fine for poop. So yellow, green, brown.. All fine!
  • My pedi also said any color except red, black, or white is fine. Try block feeding and see if that straightens it out.

  • This has happened to me a couple of times over the last couple days. DD has slept through the night before this has happened. She usually nurses both sides, so I've been trying to put her back on the first side longer if she unlatches so she's not just getting foremilk. Like others have said, my pedi says not to worry unless you see red, black, or white.

  • I was doing one boob per feeding, but he is a sleepy nurser and often falls asleep before boob is empty. I will try the block feeding idea and put him back on the same boob a couple times to make sure he gets to the hind milk. Thanks everyone!

  • I've had the same problem and been block feeding. It hasn't 100% corrected it, but she is back to at least 1-2 yellow poops per day. Has anyone pumped the other side while block feeding? I have a fast let down, which I was told is a sign of oversupply, but I'm still paranoid about hurting my supply with block feeding. Sometimes I just pump off some foremilk so she doesn't choke on the let down.
  • My daughter had a random week of green poop then it went away. My Dr said not to worry about poo colour unless it has blood in it.
