Bought a Doppler !!! I got it in the mail tried for 30 mins and nothing !! Of course it freaks me out I heard a healthy HB a month ago at my first appt ( 156 ) ...

    I thought of doing the same thing, but resisted the urge to feed my paranoid delusions that I'm going to miscarry (that's just me personally). I guess with any board here on the bump you see so many sad goodbyes, and some of them really got to me.
    Anyhow, I'm hoping the best for you! Perhaps you got a defective doppler?

    I put a bid on one @ eBay. I'm winning it but I'm also scared that I won't find it .But I heard it takes time and patience. Don't give up and keep trying I'm sure you'll get it. I think it has to be very low . Sometimes the baby might be on one side and then on the next . Good luck though and I'll love some update when you do find it.

    I got one about 3 weeks ago and I just found the heartbeat yesterday. I'm a little fluffy so I think that may have been the cause but I didn't stress at all before finding it. Just relax and know that everything is probably fine even if you can't find it. Experienced nurses and doctors have trouble sometimes, so I think there might be a bit of a learning curve!

    Yes, this.  I love my doppler, though I went days before I could locate the heartbeat.  Even now, I can't get a good reading - can only hear it.  I think the baby is hiding behind the placenta.  At least we can hear it - it's pretty great once you find it.  I'd say, put it down for a few days, then try again.  GL.

    It took me a week and when I did find it it was so faint. Don't panic. I'm sure everything is fine it just takes alot of patience.

    Make sure you are looking way down low. Like literally right above your pubic bone. And move it around slowly.. I'm sure the baby is fine. Just watch some YouTube videos.
