Stay at Home Moms

Oh. Em. Gee.

My friend just had her baby. 13 lbs 3 oz. And baby was 11 days early.

Guess that's what severe gestational diabetes does to you. : /

Swear. I'd pip the chunker, but my phone isn't updated so I can't evidently.

She's a big gal, and didn't follow her GD diet plan. : /

That's sad. That baby could have died from too much sugar. Effin selfish b.

I completely agree. Her mom died of diabetes complications at something like 57. You'd think she'd be scared into healthiness, but I suppose it's not that simple. But at least for the pregnancy, yeah.

  • That's a big baby! Is he (she?) okay?  Sometimes big babies end up in the NICU too.

I just went to see them and baby is actually in the nicu while he gets his blood sugars stabilized. :(

  • That's a big baby, almost double what Isabella weighed at birth. Hope all is well and he's out of NICU soon!
  • That baby is double what DD3 weighed.  She was 6 pounds and 3 ounces.  DD1 was 6 pounds 11 ounces and DD2 was 7 pounds 2 ounces.
DD3 didn't weigh 13 pounds until 5 months.  She was my smallest and still is.  We moved her out of her infant carrier yesterday.  She is 19 pounds 6 ounces at 1 year.  She moved into an RXT, which will RF her forever at this rate.
  • She's TRIPLE what DD was! Wow! (DD was 6wks early, but still, triple?!)
  • Yeah, some guy asked her if she was having twins the other day. Guess she had no reason to be offended.

An old man asked me how many babies I was having when I was about 36 weeks with DS2. For reals, old man?

What's with old men thinking questions like this are funny?! When I was just a few weeks shy of my due date an old man asked me if I was having twins. It was hot, I was cranky and hormonal and I replied, " No, are you?" not my proudest moment but why would you ask someone that?
