So they named their sone Axl Jack Duhamel. I hate the name. Also, she had a planned c-section. Part of me is curious as to why?

I agree it's a terrible name. At least the poor kid has a reasonable MN to use if he chooses.

A planned c-section? I hadn't heard that. Maybe he was breeched. Dislike Axl strongly and I don't care for Axl Jack together (sounds like a car part). But Jack Duhamel is a fantastic name.

I found out only a week ago that Axel (I realize it's different spelling,but I'm assuming pronounced the same) is my late Grandpa's first name. He always went by his MN, so I had assumed his MN was his first and vice versa. I have two cousins named Axel, after him. I found out when looking at genealogy charts my mom has that Axel has been in the family for at least 4 generations. I believe from Scotland. I'd have to double check if I wanted to know for sure though.

I don't mind the name Axel, but I agree Axl is bad, and Axl Jack is a bad combination.

I have to admit, I heard "Welcome to the Jungle" while I was driving to school last night and I was like "hmmm .... Axl (last name)?" And then I laughed for a good ten minutes, lol.

One time in the car, DS started wiggling and kicking like crazy when "Paradise City" came on, and my DH thought that was the coolest thing ever. We called the baby Slash for a couple of days until people started to think that was our real baby name contender.. $:\$

I definitely judged when I heard the name. I just don't see that name being great for the long haul (or right now for that matter). I much prefer Jack so like PP said at least he has that to fall back on.

LOL. I actually like the name, however, spelled differently. Axel. It was also on my list, but my husband quickly vetoed it.
