ugh, placenta previa... come in

A/s showed perfect baby boy. But I'm complete previa. They said less than 5% chance of moving. I'm really upset and worried about my third tri.

Looks like a c section last week of december. Anyone in the same boat?

Less that 5%? I'm sorry :( I guess keep FX that it does shift...there's still time!!

On the bright side, at least you can be completely prepared to have a c-section if it turns out that way. I'd rather know ahead of time and be able to mentally prep rather than having an emergency c-section half way through. But still, good thoughts for you.

Edited for the most important part: congrats on a healthy baby boy!!

  • I need another ultrasound later to check growth and placenta, so I'm assuming I may be in the same boat.
  • I am kinda in the same boat, I was going to have a c-section anyways because this makes my third baby by c-section.  However I have the same issue....mine doesnt seem to be moving either so we will be keeping an eye on it either way because it may mean for an even earlier c-section which means right before Christmas!

Good Luck and I really hope you are in that 5%!

  • I have a marginal previa, but I understand the fear.  My mom had a complete previa with me and I was a c-section baby, but she had a roommate in the hospital in the same situation whose placenta did move so it is possible.

  • I have partial previa. Not the same as you, but it still stresses/freaks me out. I have to keep having ultrasounds every 4 weeks to monitor it :/

  • Minor previa here. Pelvic rest and re-check for me. I'm already in the scheduled c-section club. And while mine isn't as bad, I understand your nervousness! Praying you're in that 5%!
  • Thanks, ladies. I'm thankful for a healthy baby and that it's not vasa previa..... but pretty nervous. :/
