Spotting

Has anyone else spotted with a good outcome? I haven't had my first appointment yet and just started some dark brown spotting. Please tell me there is a chance everything can still be ok.

Re: Spotting

  • I understand how you are feeling.  I m/c with my first and with my second I had brown spotting at 8 weeks.  I was totally freaked out.  Though I have a beautiful 10 1/2 month old so it is completely normal.  If you are super nervous I would call your doctor and see if you can have an early u/s

  • Thanks for replying. I'm making myself sick over it. I've called my doctor's office, but he's out if town until next week (when I have my first appointment), so I will be waiting it out and hoping for the best.
  • My friend spotted/ bled until she was 14 wks and she gave birth to a healthy baby boy. I know as a new mom we tend to think the worst about everything but please try not to worry.
  • I could honestly cry just hearing positive responses. We haven't told anyone yet and I never thought this board would be more than friendly, fun reading, but I am so thankful for you guys right now!
  • I just saw this after my post on the same (where you responded tarynkim). I felt the same wave of emotion when everyone told me it was normal. It's so nice to have a support system of women at the same exact place in pregnancy and some with prior experience. I'm getting all choked up again ;)
