Hello everyone, I just want to introduce myself!

I have a little boy who will be 3 in october. He is a great child! Nice and clever of course
But yet, I don't want another child, the main reason being that I don't feel it. I'm pretty sure I won't change my mind.
I also want to pursue my career and learn more in my job.

Moreover, we are pretty lucky in my country but life is becoming really expansive and I'm scared not to be able to offer my child simply things like good food, hoydays, an access to different kind of knowldege, etc....

English is not my mother tongue but I just can't find a forum to speak with OAD mothers in my country.
I hope you can understand me clearly.

I also hope to find here a place to have nice conversations about the OAD "status"

To answer chapter79, I'm from France.
In my country, there is a real pressure over women to have a big and beautiful family.
Women of my generation tend to have more children than their own mothers.
Economic crisis makes the family a shelter and you can see a kind of "Pregnant Women power!".

Here is a place where they won't come so easily

Welcome! My daughter will also be 3 in October. I feel like she is a pretty easy kid, and I fear I cannot get so lucky twice. :-) If an easy baby was a struggle, I may not survive a needy one.

My mother went from an easy child to a difficult one. She used to tell my younger brother (only before he could actually understand) that if he'd been the first, he still would have been the last. It's one reason we get no grief from her about being OAD.
