I am going to go insane..dh is out of town and I am on night three of "get Jackson to sleep in crib at night, not just for naps" and it is going poorly.
He has been sleeping through the night for the longest time but not since this mission. I can't keep him in rnp due to him turning on his side and I have to keep the crib propped due to acid reflux...he keeps sliding down or turning sideways and won't stay asleep.
I'm going thru the same exact thing. LO would sleep in his rNp for hours at a time at night, since converting him to the crib it's been a complete nightmare! I just bought the wedge, I'm hoping he sleeps for me. Do you swaddle LO? GL I'm going on two weeks of this.
What are you using as a crib prop? Also, it might take some time. I think the first few nights she was only in the crib half the night. Eventually he'll get the hang of it if you keep at it.

Tonight is the 1st night we put the twins in their cribs.... They are tossing and turning like crazy. No advice just good luck... Btw... They sell a wedge for cribs that us the perfect incline.
I was going to suggest the wedge, which is why I asked. I didn't know that they made them for DS, and once when I needed to have him on an incline, I tried doing it myself. Whoops, it was too much of one and he rolled to the bottom of the "hill." When I saw the wedge, I was surprised by how little of an incline is needed.

We moved DD from the RnP to a PnP two weeks ago and it has been pretty rough. She was sleeping through the night and now she's up several times. If your LO likes being swaddled try to do that.
I also suggest swaddling your LO probably felt swaddled in rnp and now in a big open crib needs that comfort back at least for a while. We had to take awake the incline in LOs co-sleeper bc he was scooting to the end but he doesn't have reflux he still ends up side ways and always in a crazy position when he wakes up to eat babies move a lot in their sleep
We transitioned from the RnP to the PnP last weekend. The first two nights were rough but buy night #3, Jack slept from 8pm to 4am (the longest yet!). We tried raising a side to give him a slight incline but he ended up sliding to the bottom of the PnP during the night so we took the towels out. We swaddle with the SwaddleMe swaddle to keep him nice and cozy and secure and I think that helped.
We also only let him nap in his PnP (other than in the carseat during rides) to give him more opportunities to sleep flat.
Transitioning to his crib in the next weekend and I'm planning on losing sleep for a few nights!
Our son is 12 weeks and slept in the RnP since birth.
This thread makes me nervous... We are planning on transitioning from RnP to crib next week. M is sleeping 9-10 hours a night right now. It's going to suck to not get that anymore!!! Lol
Yeah, Jackson was going 8-5:30/6:30ish and the last three night I have only had maybe 4 hours sleep...
