Rash near leg openings

First time poster here. Long time lurker.
My 5 month old has suddenly developed a rash near where the leg openings of the cloth diapers are. I've check to make sure they are too tight, I haven't changed my wash routine, same diapers I have been using. It isn't bad or last a long time, but I've noticed it appear for a little while daily for about a week. Any ideas? TIA!

I definitely should have proofread that lol. *checked to make sure they aren't too tight is what I meant to say.

Is LO starting to roll and/or crawl more than usual?  We had some diapers that worked fine for us & then all of a sudden when he started crawling he would get red marks from diaper rubbing on his legs.  I started changing him more often when he wore those diapers (because I think the red marks were from wet diaper rubbing) & eventually his little legs slimed up a bit and now we don't have the problem.

DD had that for a little while.  I actually showed it to her Dr, and she said it was just from dry skin, not typical diaper rash.  We put some cortizone on for a couple of days and it went away and didn't come back.  Could be worth trying.

Oh - I'm curious if this is what my LO has going on.  It's only on one leg at the opening - so I'm inclined to believe it's not a rash.  My CJ's BUTTer hasn't done anything for it (which it's supposed to help things like eczema), so maybe I'll run it by the pedi when we go in if it's still around next month.
