Waiting for Confirmation

I had an appointment with my family Dr yesterday.  He sent me for blood work.  Now I'm waiting for a phone call with the confirmation.  Sometimes being patient is not one my strengths.

Same here. They were supposed to call today or yesterday. But they also ran a genetics test and are checking for that one virus since I have a cat. Good luck on your results!

Dr called today.  Confirmed pregnancy but said I'm only 3 or 4 weeks instead of almost 6.  That doesn't make any sense with my LMP dates.  What the heck?

Could make sense if you ovulated later. The only thing about that that would concern me was if you got your bfp on an hpt 2 weeks ago.

Well congratulations! Wen I got my ultrasound last week I was almost two weeks earlier than I thought according to my LMP...I apparently ovulate real late!

That's why I say What the heck, because I did have a bfp on the htp two weeks ago.  I wonder if he's just not counting the 2 weeks where you're not actually pregnant?

They can't tell from blood work alone how far along you are.  There is a huge range of HCG levels in early pregnancy.  The only way to know for sure is a dating ultrasound.
