One of my idiot Facebook friends just shared a post about people putting HIV needles in gas pumps. That urban legend made the rounds when I was like 12. Why are people so fucking stupid and gullible? This is after I saw a story on the news about a deadly measles outbreak spreading through a Texas church filled with morons who place their kids' safety in God's hands instead of godamn doctors'. I'm so close to completely withdrawing from society Thoreau style. I think I have real anger problems.

There's never been an HIV needle thing in reality, right? I know there was one tragic case of a man who got an HIV diagnosis and decided to go have as much unprotected sex as he could.

Even if they were used, discarded needles, typically they would be discarded where people shoot heroin. Although some parents might WANT to shoot heroin in the bathroom of Chuck E Cheese's, it seems pretty unlikely.
