Husband at u/s

How many of you are or have had your husband come to your 1st doc appointment? Don't know what we should do! Is this normal for them to come?

I think my hubby has come to one u/s but nothing else.  He says everything looks like fuzz and sounds like static, anyway.

Mine has been to all of my first appointments, in my mind its very normal. He actually came to all of my appointments with my first pregnancy since his schedule allowed it and most of them with my second.

Mine comes to as much ultrasounds as he can, and I think it's pretty normal for them to come see if they can!

DH has come to almost all of my appointments with me and will definitely be at (has been at all in the past) all ultrasounds (mostly because I'm terrified at this point and I won't even let him go in his own car to the u/s appointments).

I haven't had an appointment yet, but mine said that he wants to come to every appointment, even if they end up being boring and even when they become more frequent at the end.  He is wonderful and I love him!

With DS, he came as often as he could without going too crazy making arrangements. If he was off work, he'd come. I'd say he came to about 90% of my appointments. He loved hearing the heartbeat. It may be a bit more tough this time around with DS, but I'm sure he'll be at my 10 week dating US (which seems SO far away) and the 20 week anatomy scan if nothing else.

I had my 1st appointment today at 8 weeks but it was not an ultrasound. My dating ultrasound is Thursday and DH is going to come to that one.

My DH has been to every appointment. My doc is 45 min away so he likes to drive me there as I got in a pretty nasty car accident on my way there last feb. He is pretty awesome

My first u/s is in a couple of days and DH is coming with. He hopes to come to as many appointments that his schedule will allow. Being FTP we're really excited about this whole experience!

Mine's planning on coming to everything. He wants to be very involved. And he's getting great support from work about arranging his hours so he can. But hey, we may be weird. He's come to all my gyno appointments with me too, though he was less thrilled about that. I always asked him to come because they can be pretty hard on me and it helps having him there.

DH really wants to come but it can be tricky with work. He won't be able to make it to the first appointment, but I won't get an US until the 2nd, so we're trying to make that work.

He came to all last time. This time he will come to the 12 weekend 18 week ultrasounds and that's probably it. The first pregnancy it seemed normal for him to come to all my midwife appointments too but this time that seems like it would be weird haha

My now ex went to every single appointment. My bf now plans to attend all appointments as well. I swear I don't make them. Lol

My DH came to my first appointment and is getting off work for our first U/S. he plans on coming to every appointment. He just has to let them know about it at work and its fine!

He always wants to come to all of them... But maybe it is so because we had some losses. I recommend to have him with you as much as you can. One because you never know... Two because for men the baby bonding is a long process and these visits make them more tuned in. Lastly, he takes notes for me

He did not come to my first Doctor's apot, but will be at every ultrasound. I don't want to ever be alone for an ultrasound after finding out we lost our little one this winter when I was alone.

If you got bad news on the u/s, would you want to be alone?

My husband plans on being at as many appointments as he can, mostly because we both need each other's support.  Also, it's really the only way for him to bond with the baby right now.   As we progress with the pregnancy we realize that he probably won't be able to make it to every single appointment, but he wants to come to as many as he possibly can.

DH usually comes with me to all my appointment. That being said, I got my fertility treatments really far away from our house so we didn't want to pay for him to fly back and forth with me every time. He missed the 6 week ultrasound so we did face time so he could virtually be there now that we are at a local doc he will come to most/all of them. Side note, I'm SO over taking that plane flight 2X a day to see the doc!

Last preg DH came to my NOB appt and all my u/s but one (they were monthly). This time around he has a job where it's harder to take time off. He'll be at my first u/s (Thursday) and prob the anatomy one unless it works out where he can come to more.

If you want him to come to your first appt it's totally normal.

For me, my DH works 45 min away from my doctor and he can't really take off work just to go to MY doctor appointments so with my first he only came to the two ultrasounds and no other appts. Probably will be the same this time around.

MH came to every appt with DD1, less with DD2, and I guessing he will only be present for ultrasounds for this pregnancy.  We had many losses before DD1 so I was always on edge.

my first appt there is an ultrasound, so yes he will be coming. With our son, he came to the ultrasound appts but not really to just my regular monthly appts. I think he came once towards then end because we were talking about birth planning.

My hubby came to my first appointment and intends to come to all the ones that he can. He is starting a new job so hopefully he can at least make any important ones.

DH came to my very first appt which was only bloodwork, vitals, family history, my history, ect.  He didn't come to the 2nd (no US), but he will be coming to as many as his work schedule allows in the future.  Luckily, he works 1 weekend day and is off on Mondays... so I plan to make as many of our appointments on Mondays so he doesn't have to worry about work.  He will need to save his days for when baby is here!

My last pregnancy he came to all of my appointments & I suspect he will this time too.

DH came to all of my appointments last pg, and is coming to the first, and wants to come to them all, this time. We only had two u/s last time (anatomy scan and a late one b/c of a breech scare). DH came to those and will come to any u/s this time.

I kind of made it mandatory for him to come even though I really didn't need to.  He said he wouldn't miss it for the world, especially the 1st u/s.
