Practical idea for moms expecting multiples

Mini cribs! I'd never heard of these until now and they look like a great idea. Does a teeny tiny baby really need a giant crib? & when they get bigger, isn't it time for a toddler bed anyhow? I'm a first time mom, if you couldn't tell.

Has anyone here used a mini crib to save space, money, etc.?

Re: Practical idea for moms expecting multiples

  • My 1 year old would not be good in a mini crib! She is allllll over the place at night and needs the space. I'm hoping to not transfer her to toddler bed til I absolutely have to around 3 years old. Our crib converts to a toddler bed and then a full size bed so it will grow with her as gets older.

  • I was going to look into them and they are so cute.  My initial thought was, why don't more people use these?  There must be a reason.

  • One downside I've heard is having less options for sheets since they aren't standard, or perhaps just less widely available. I'm on the fence- I just know my husband and I are on the same page about not spending a fortune on furniture for children.
  • We are looking at lifetime cribs.....my 11 year old is still in her "crib". I like the idea of not having to buy a new bed just the conversion kit :)
