**rubyredshoes**

Hey!

I just saw your post.....are you in KC? Did you go to SM West? I didn't know you were in KC....I love to see local girls! Well, actually, I love to see local girls graduate to SAIF! :)

How are things going for you?

Re: **rubyredshoes**

  • HI there!  This is actually BradsMissA  I had to change my screen name over the past week or two.  I'm in Indianapolis now, but I did grow up in Lenexa and went to SM West.  I actually didn't graduate there b/c my dad's job transfered us overseas so we moved the summer between soph and junior year - but I grew up with everyone that did graduate from there - and am still close friends with most of them.

We just found out Friday that IVF #1 was a c/p - and I scheduled our WTF apt for 1/15.  So we'll see what our RE has to say.  I'm having a hard time accepting the fact that we've now had 2 m/c's in a row and that my body is failing our little embies.

BUT we have a trip coming up in early February to look forward to.  So I"m going to try to start hitting the gym again etc and get excited for that!

  • OH! Now, this makes more sense....your story sounded so familiar, but I just couldn't place who you were because I wasn't that familiar with rubyredshoes as a screenname.

I must have missed that you had to change your name. I am so sad that your cycle ended as a c/p. I will be interested to see what your RE has to say about everything.

Yes, it is crazy that we were probably at East and West at the same time. I didn't really know anyone at West. I graduated in 1998.

I'm glad you have a trip coming up. We did that after IVF #1 also - it's nice to focus on something different. Where are you heading? Are you planning to start IVF #2 right away?

  • The only person I would know from East in 98 is Libby Jones, does that name ring a bell?  I would have been '99, so a year behind you.

We are heading to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico the 2nd week in February - so that should be fun.  It's an all inclusive - so at least I will be able to enjoy the perks that come along with that, and pool waiters that bring you constant stream of drinks!  Big Smile

We are not sure what we are going to do.  My insurance coverage for IF changes as of 1/1/09...and my lifetime max goes from $25K to $15K.  So I need to wait to for all the charges to be pushed through first and see where we are at against our maximum.  February we will be gone for our trip and March I'll be gone a week for work - so really I think if we would do IVF #2 it would have to be March/April time frame.  So we'll just have to see.  If we have already reached our lifetime max then we'll have to make the decision on if we pay OOP or wait until next fall when we can change insurance companies and then would be ready to go again in January 2010.  Eeek!  I hope that's not the case.  In the meantime I think DH and I are ready for our lives to be back to "normal" and our sex life doesn't seem so planned and controlled by Dr's!  ha ha

  • Wow! I can't believe you know Libby!!! I have known her since I was 5. We grew up literally 4 streets from each other. Her parents are selling their house, and my DH and I have actually looked at it to buy. :) She's a sweet girl. She's a teacher in Chicago now. How do you know her?

Puerto Vallarta will be amazing! I love all inclusives....it's so nice to be waited on and not worry about paying for it. :) hehehe....

ooh....that sucks your insurance is changing. I really hope you're okay against the max. Let me know where it shakes out. I don't want you to have to wait until the fall - that would suck!

  • Too funny - and such a small world!  I went to college with Libby and she was my 'big sis" in our sorority.  She is very good friends with a family friend of ours that I have knows since I was in elementary school.
