With out a poop... I'm going to call tomorrow but the last time ds pooped was last Sunday luckily he doesn't seem at all bothered by this but of course I am... He's EBF and has plenty of wet diapers. Anyone have this experience?? What did you do?

Did you try the thermometer trick? Mine takes a poo any time I try to check his temp.

mine is a poop machine, but a friend of mine, her lo went 3 weeks without a poop. Apparently it is normal with BF babies.they are just using everything from the milk. I would be freaked out too though!

Ok, thanks guys! He's breast fed so I'm glad it's nothing to worry about yet.

We are EBFing and my LO poops at least 3 times a day. So I don't think that is necessarily true for all BF babies. I would call your pedi, but I have heard BF babes can go up to 10 days without pooping. I guess my DD is ms. poops-a-lot

LO goes days without one at times--DD #1 made it 10 days once as an older infant.  I asked the pedi about it and he said it's totally normal for EBF babies!

We EBF and mine has started pooping once a week too. Watch out because for us it's a major explosion when he goes! I suppose for a whole week's worth it isn't that much but it is a huge mess.

We are going through this too! It started last week when she first went 2 days and then 4. I called the peditrician and she had me try prune juice if she hadn't pooped by the 5th day. That didn't work so by the 7th day they had me give her a suppository. That worked in about 10 minutes, but she's back to not pooping again. It doesn't seem to bother her either, but it just isn't normal for her because she was a pooping machine!

Well we had our poop explosion!!! I ended up just letting him be and he definitely got it all out this morning which was day 8!

Try the bicycle trick. Works every time and is non invasive (rectal invasion- ouch!)
