Name similar to Gloria?

I would really love to honor my grandmother, but her name is Gloria and I just don't like it. I don't, there is no growing on me, it's out. Middle name is decided- Anne. Any suggestions for another name that would be similar to Gloria? Well, I usually would prefer to use the actual name, it's just not happening with Gloria. I don't really mind if other people "get it", my family and I would know who DD is honoring, so I thought I'd ask here.

I kind of group Gloria either with Italian names (Isabella, Alessandra, Donatella, Valentina) or with religious (especially Christmas) names (Natalie, Noelle, Evangeline, Angelina, Seraphina). Is there a name your grandmother really liked, or a place/flower/gemstone that was meaningful to her? What about her birth month? Her favorite book or film or song? There are lots of subtle ways to honor someone through the the things they loved.

I like the pp idea of thinking of a place/flower/gemstone that was meaningful.

    Two other ideas:
    pick a G name
choose a name that has Lori or some connotation of it in the name (Lorelei, Lauren, etc)

Both pp have great ideas, Do you like Glory at all? I think moving your mn to the fn spot and using Glory for a mn sounds nice: Ann Glory

Gloriana/Glorianna (glori-ah-na) is nice but not with Ann as a MN. I was thinking of other names that mean "Glory" but most were very foreign.

How about just using the first letter. That's how my family rolls

So....this may be a stretch, but I looked up the definition of "glory" (the meaning of Gloria), then searched baby names by meaning based on the definition (praise, honor). Here's some suggestions based on my search: Nora Norah Noreen Hallie Cleo

Gioia?  (pronounce Joya) its Italian for Joy and I often think of Gloria when I see it. Otherwise I also thought Cora like PP or Gia.

For some reason Sylvia popped into my head-- but that wouldn't really honor your Gma in any way.

FWIW-- I have really been digging Gloria lately.  Suggestions: Golda, Marigold, Aurora, Laurel.
