I am not feeling all that creative. My son is a little over 2 and I am trying to think of a cute costume for this age. Probably something warm too since its usually cold here at Halloween time. Any cute finds or ideas out there?
Last year DS was a puppy. Him and the dog were BFFs so we thought it was cute. I have been throwing around a few ideas for DS - Pascal from Tangled (DD is going as Rapunzel), an Ewok (Dh's idea), and a super hero (it would be cute with a princess costume and he can use it for dress up later).
What about a train conductor costume? Not quite Thomas since you want something new, but still within the realm of what he likes.
DD is going to be this owl, I think. But NOT in pink. I'm going to make the costume and I'm going to make it in shades of browns, and probably take off the little hair bow, too. Could totally work for a boy.
I got a Yoda costume for DS, he will need to wear warmer clothes underneath, but it'll be cute! Still trying to figure out a costume for my DD who will be 9 months in Oct.
At this age, I still pick DS costumes. Last year right after Halloween, I bought an adorable puppy costume on clearance from BRU for $6, so that's what he will be. I'll do the same again this year, and hope I get away with it again next year!
Reese is going to go as Jessie from Toy Story. She loves that movie. Maybe Woody or Buzz Light Year--those are costumes that can be fairly warm--or at least you can wear things underneath them?
My son and his BFF are going to be Todd and Copper from The Fox and the Hound. We're making the costumes. If he wasn't going as a "set", I think I'd do an astronaut because he loves rocket ships and "space men".
Pirate here too. I don't lie e Jake and the Neverland Pirates costume from the Disney or party stores, so I'll make a more generic pirate costume for him. Last year he was a football player (sweats and his Jets jersey) and the year before he was a football when he was 6 months old (I made the costume to hang over the front of the bjorn and carried him trick or treating with our neighbors kids).
We bought a pretty expensive Astronaut costume from Pottery Barn Kids. Dylan wore it for 2 seconds last year because on Halloween he was really sick (fever and the worst irritability everrrr). We went to the neighbors house to trick or treat and that was it haha. So needless to say, this year he will be an astronaut again.
My BF dressed her son up as Gilligan last year. It was super cute and cheap!

My mom made my older brother a 7-Up delivery truck driver costume (he just turned 40 this year) when he was three. My son is obsessed with trucks right now so I'm thinking he's going to wear his costume! I'm excited and my mom will be on heaven.
The zoo in my city hosts a costume exchange. I'm going to take my son's lion costume from last year and trade it for something in a bigger size. I'm not really tied to any certain costume. This will probably be the last year where my son doesn't have an opinion about what to be, so I'll just pick something I like that is washable.

TTC since May 2006. After 3 failed Clomid cycles, 2 failed Injectibles/IUIs, 2 failed IVFs and 1 failed FET, we moved on to adoption!
Last ditch FET resulted in BFP, and identical twin girls!
