Finally, info re: my AMH increasing.

So my RE never seemed impressed/concerned with my AMH rising and his nurses always just said "it's a good thing". In July 2011 it was .38, April 2012 .97 and as of April this year it came back at 1.63. I know I don't have magical ovaries so I never knew what to make of these increases. I thought maybe the OTC supplements I took had done something to the levels. Anyway, tonight I had a phone consult with a new RE and he asked if I had had my AMH checked so I told him the above story. He then asked if I had been on BCP when any of the labs were drawn. Last year from Oct-Dec I was on continuous BCP to help control my endometriosis. He said that the endo would affect my AMH level. The more rampant = lower AMH, more controlled = higher AMH. So since the endo had been treated that's why it was higher after being on the pill. Finally an answer!!! Also, after thinking about it it makes perfect sense that my 1st AMH was so low considering I'd been taking Clomid for 6 cycles prior...my endo was probably going crazy in there!!!

It may be worth noting that I'm not sure if this just applies to more advanced stages of endometriosis, like where your ovaries are in an endo cocoon.

IVF:EPP 5/2012 ~ (4R, 3M, 2F w/ICSI). Both embryos txfrd. ~ BFN
BCP to manage endo from 10/2012 to 12/2012.
FET w/donor embryos #1: 10/2013 Cancelled
FET w/donor embryos #1.2: 11/2013 ~ ET of 2 beautiful blasts on 11/27.
Beta 1: 503(12dp5dt) Beta 2: 1035(14dpt) Beta 3: 3001(16dpt) Beta 4: 8503(19dpt)

    Wow that's interesting!!!! Sounds like this new RE knows his stuff and hopefully can get you going in the right direction! GL

     TTC since May 2011, 1 year trying, and then 3 TI, 2 IUI = BFN
    IVF #1 (May 2013):  Antagonist Protocol: 
    24R, 18M, 15F w/ICSI; 5dt of 2 early blasts, no frosties = BFN
     IVF #2 (August 2013):  Lupron Stop Protocol: 
    28R, 23M, 15F w/ICSI; 5dt of 1 partially hatched blast, 7 frosties = BFP
    EDD 5/23/14, blighted ovum (6w6d), D&C (8w6d)
    FET #1 (April 2014):  transferred 2 5d blasts = BFP

    Interesting! AMH has always been kind of a mysterious thing to a lot of people! I am really glad you got your answer and I'm glad that this is positive news for you. I'm so glad you talked to the new RE!

     3/27/13 - After beta and u/s hell, no heartbeat ever detected. D&C at 9w1d.

    6/5/13 - Adopted four new embryos that had been frozen for seven years!      
    9/12/13 - DEmbryo FET #2. Thawed and transferred two beautiful blasts
    9/17/13 - BFP @ 5dp6dt! EDD 05/31/14
     9/29/13 - m/c @ 5w1d. :(

    11/19/13 - DEmbryo FET #3. Thawed and transferred one blast from each batch. Wow!
     11/23/13 - BFP @ 4dp6dt! EDD 8/7/13
    Beta #1 @ 13dp6dt - 522  Beta #2 @ 16dp6dt - 1373 
    6w5d ultrasound showed one perfect baby with a beautiful heartbeat of 134bpm!
