We heard the Babies heartbeat Last night!

It really is such a great sound. I wish I could have captured Dh's face when he heard it.. The Doc said everything looked great! (which we were a little scared I had a little red spotting last week) It was 172 beats whats the average range? Does anyone know off hand? Oh! and also does anyone know the %'s when you hear the heartbeat the chance of miscarriage goes down?? thanks!

Yay!  And you are right, the chance of m/c does go down a lot once you hear the heartbeat

Wow, I can only imagine how wonderful it must be to hear your baby's heartbeat. I cannot wait till I can experience that. I'm so happy for you.

YAY!!! So happy everything is ok! I think average heartbeat rate is around 160 so your good!

HAHA I cant wait for Ant and Dow to get together and talk the Daddy talk! hahah and Mike can be there to coach them through it!

My aunt had her first appointment yesterday and shes measuring at 7 weeks 3 days so she is Due August 17 or 18th I dont remember.

I googled around after I heard my baby's HB and was finding info saying the rate of miscarriage drops to 3-5%, but I don't know if that's definite scientific info... you never know with internet search results. It's got to be a good thing, though!

M/C percent goes down to 2% after you hear the heartbeat.  Congrats
