Re: PgAL Check In

  • How far along are you? What size fruit is your baby this week? 16w5d. I suck at this fruit thing...my What to Expect app says turnip.

Do you have any upcoming appointments or milestones? One-year angelversary on Monday. I'll be relieved when I make it through. A/S is a week from Monday, finally.

QOTW: Are there any foods/drinks that you love but can't have or have had to cut back on while you are pregnant?  My food aversions have sucked this pregnancy. For the first 14-15 weeks, just about everything made me sick. I can finally handle milk, juice and soda again, but eggs still make me sick [and I LOVE eggs], and the thought of chicken makes me want to puke. Sad.

Open Topic. What is on your mind this week? Thinking a lot about Devon since this weekend is our big milestone weekend. It's hard to believe it's been an entire year. I've been so on edge this week - and afraid that I'll lose my rainbow - that I had an anxiety attack and almost called my OB for meds and a HB check. My friend helped talk me down, and I bought a doppler, but I'm still on edge.

I am 10w6d so a prune this week, but move to lime status tomorrow I believe.

Do you have any upcoming appointments or milestones?
We saw the OB on Wed and have a plan in place to monitor my cervix and he also told me that if my anxiety gets too out of control we can do the cerclage regardless of my cervix length. I really like my OB. Next appt is Sept 11th.

QOTW: Are there any foods/drinks that you love but can't have or have had to cut back on while you are pregnant?
Um well I love beer so I have given that up...obviously. I also really want sushi, it sounds so good. I might actually go get some that are cooked rolls this weekend. Otherwise I haven't really cut back too much.

This has been a pretty good week. Seeing the dr this week was reassuring. I passed my EDD last weekend and it was sad, but also healing.

  • Will be thinking about you all this weekend and especially on Monday @OSUwifey09

How far along are you? What size fruit is your baby this week? 13 weeks, peaches and cream! Ok, just a peach really.

Do you have any upcoming appointments or milestones? 26th is the next one.

QOTW: Are there any foods/drinks that you love but can't have or have had to cut back on while you are pregnant? Sushi. I really love it, especially with one of my good friends. It was our thing. Havent had it in a year and a half... I know some of it is "ok", but I still cant stomach it. Avocados make me ill, and I used to love them in a roll of sushi.

Open Topic. What is on your mind this week? Been thinking about this new baby and Elsie and how they relate to one another and how I will incorporate them together.  I think I was abl eto feel the first flutter last night. I LOVED feeling Elsie move. Its so hard being happy for this new life and still really grieving the one you lost. I feel a bit guilty, because I know if Elsie were here, this new life most likely would not be. We would have waited longer in between. Its just a lot to wrap my brain around.

I've really cut back on sugar, specifically candy, ice cream, and baked goods, for my own peace of mind. I ate a ton of sugar during my pregnancy with Virginia. She was always REALLY active, and her cord accident was caused by her movement, so it makes me feel like I'm doing everything I can to prevent the same thing from happening again. I still crave sugar like mad, but find that I start feeling really crappy and almost hungover when I eat anything really sugary now.

Big Hugs!!!! I went through this when I was Pg w/ Z since I lost Ian to a cord accident. I was constantly scared that he was moving too much. Then if he wouldn't move I was scared that something was wrong. I ended up getting a Doppler for my piece of mind even tho my DH was against it. I lost track of how many ultrasounds I had. I think I was there every other week after 20 wks! LOL!!!

Good luck to you! I hope your LO moves just the right amount! :-)

  • How far along are you? What size fruit is your baby this week?  9 weeks, 5 days, a green olive

Do you have any upcoming appointments or milestones?  I see my OB tomorrow and will likely have my third u/s

QOTW: Are there any foods/drinks that you love but can't have or have had to cut back on while you are pregnant?  I am a pepsi addict.  Last time I pretty much cut it out, but this time I've been sticking to the "I can have 200 mg of caffein a day".  But I shouldn't, I know I'll be diagnosed with GD again soon so I'm going to try giving it up this week.

Open Topic. What is on your mind this week?  Just very anxious for my appointment tomorrow, I can't wait to see Boo again and make sure everything is ok.  We'll also likely be scheduling my cerclage, which I am anxious and excited to get, but also nervous.  The time to get it moved so quickly.
