Are there any Brunswick County mamas who chose to deliver in New Hanover? if so what made u chose ilm? I live in the Holden Beach area and have entertained delivering in ilm. i just worry it being to hard for family going back and forth.

I know this is an old post, but I live in Wilmington and work at NHRMC.  I will obviously deliver there...maybe after a 12 hour shift!  I would say if you are having any complications or think there may be any issues then try to deliver there.  The hospital is well equipped just in case something happens with baby and you need a specialist.  If not, I don't know if it's worth the drive because the new hospital in Brunswick is so much closer to you.  Good luck!
