Does lanolin expire?

I have Lansinoh brand lanolin and it is from 4 years ago when I was breastfeeding my son. I'm 14 weeks pregnant with LO #2 and I plan on breast feeding with this one as well... So does lanolin expire? I don't have the original box it came in and there is no expiration date listed on the tube.

    Mine got really hard so I could barely squeeze it out of the tube. I ended up buying a new tube but got one free from my hospital while I was there, so then I had two!

    Mine is still the same consistency, so I'm hoping it is still good. I don't mind buying a new one but I don't want to throw it away if it is still good since it is a godsend.

    Since the baby "eats" the lanolin when they latch on, I would just get a new tube.
