IVF Cancelled

My first IVF was cancelled after doing a Lupron Flare protocol. They said it showed I hormonally ovulated. My progesterone kept rising and my estrogen never got above 200.  What does that even mean. Now the doctor wants to do an Estrogen Priming protocol. Has anyone else done this?

I am sorry that you got canceled. I know how frustrating it is. I also got canceled on that protocol but for different reasons so I can't answer your questions- just wanted to say sorry and hang in there!

I did EPP Antagonist for my first IVF.  It definitely was not a protocol that worked well for me.  I stimmed for twelve days and only ended up with two mature eggs.  Having said that I have seen many people have success with it.  I think I was the exception rather than the rule.  

As far as the protocol goes I started Estrace eight days after LH surge and started stims on Day 3 of the next cycle.  Ganirelix was added about half way through stims.  

I also did estrogen priming for my Microdose Flare cycle but it is a less common protocol so I assume your RE is thinking of EPP Antagonist.

I'm so sorry this happened to you. My first cycle was antagonist and was cancelled due to premature ovulation. I don't have much advice but we did a long lupron the next cycle and everything went smoothly. GL!

Hi, I don't usually post on this board, but wanted to share that I just did an estrogen priming protocol. I wore a Vivelle estrogen patch starting 9 days after my LH surge, changed it every other day until af arrived, then let the last one just fall off. I started stims on cycle day 2 (450 follistim/150 menopur) and my follistim amount was decreased almost everyday as my estrogen rose all the way until the trigger. I used ganirelix I think starting at stim day 6. I had 17 retrieved, 15 mature and 9 fertilized without ICSI. I have my beta tomorrow, but took an hpt this morning and got a faint positive.
