Clomid in hand for #2 and wondering if these feelings are normal...

I became pregnant 3 cycles after stopping bc for my ds, now 2 1/2. We starting trying for #2 when ds was 10 months. After a year of trying on our own we were referred to a RE. He discovered my thyroid was low possibly causing my progesterone issues. He treated me for this and really pushed IVF. I'm not there yet...mentally. So I asked to try a different route, he talked about clomid but sent me back to my ob for it. So here I sit tonight ready to take my first dose of clomid and I'm now questioning everything, maybe I'm not supposed to have another, what if twins pop up...and hundreds of other thoughts and feelings! Did any of you have any of these feelings. Any insight to what I am getting myself into wold be amazing. Sorry such a long post.

A lot of women here used treatments much deeper than Clomid. Trouble trying to conceive (TTTC) board or the Infertility board and there might be a Secondary Infertility board, but I can't remember... Anyways those places might be a better spot. You might think about changing your intro a bit or mention Sencondary Infertility in your headline, because you conceived your son so easily. For a lot of ladies here its been years trying to get to just their 1st. I hope that helps and you find the answers and support you need.

Hi. I am sorry you having trouble conceiving a second. I conceived my DD on the 1st cycle and then it took 2 years to conceive this baby. I agree with BzeetyD that the Secondary IF board is a great place for you. I was part of that group for a long time. Most of the ladies there struggled with your feelings. 

For me I had to try IF treatments because we didn't end up having a second i wanted to know we really tried. While waiting to do IVF I conceived on my own. 

The other thing I suggest is did you have the full range of testing at the RE? ie blood tests throughout your cycle, sperm testing, HSG? 

personally I would NOT do clomid unless you are being monitored via ultrasound to avoid too many eggs.

PP are so right, second IF is a great board. I loved it there! The women there come with different back stories but we all wanted another child. Some had IF the first time, some didnt. Some are trying for the 2 or 3rd. Some had are just doing clomid and some injectable cycles and some IVF. Good luck to you!
