I have had a wonderful amount of help from my family over the last 7 weeks. They've been great. They stay with me a lot at night and give me a break, so I can rest and recover from the horrible c-section problems I've had. I also have a colicky LO who is up all the time at night, so on days I don't have help I get about 2 hours of sleep.
Well, MIL has helped so much, as well as my own mother. MIL went on vacation a little over a week ago, so we haven't seen her for about 2 weeks, which is fine. During the same time, my own father went on vacation while my mother stayed home. She has come and stayed with my husband and I several times, partly because she didn't want to be at her house alone and also to help me out with the baby.
The help is always much appreciated, but I'm not asking anyone to do this for me. Well, MIL calls my mother today and tells her she's doing too much for me, and She needs to back off and I need to do it on my own.
My mother, whom I'm very close with, of course tells me what she said. I just want to ask her who is she to tell my mother when she can and can't help me. I mean I still can't lift LO in his car seat because of the complications. If my mom doesn't come sometimes, I'm stuck in the house all day, every day and can't even get out.
Ok. End vent. I feel better.
