It's wonderful when LO sleeps through the night but when he does I tend to follow suit... And then wake up with very sore boobs! I love the sleep but can't keep that up for bf supply. So, what do you do during the night while your LO sleeps and you need to pump? Do you set an alarm or something? He sleeps in our room currently and don't want to disturbe him...

    Yeah I don't pump either. I don't want to teach my body to continue to make that milk if the baby doesn't need it. As your baby continues to sleep through the night, your body will adjust.

    I don't pump at night, your supply will adjust after a few days. 
    Edited to say that I do pump in the morning, after DD goes down for her first nap. That way any soreness/engorgement left from overnight is taken care of. DD is 9wks, I've been doing this since about 4wks, and I have about 60ozs in the freezer already (she also gets one bottle a day). There have been a couple weird nights when I HAD to get up and pump, my breast pads were soaked, and I was hurting. I honestly have no explanation for those nights! ha
