Hello 3rd Tri and bday question

Hi Ladies! I can't believe I am already here in the 3rd trimester!

So I have to have a c-section due to some complications (let's just say not all my parts line up correctly). My due date is Oct 30th. I was trying to avoid the 24th due to my niece's bday being that day (she will turn 6) and the fact that I don't want to fight with my SIL over birthday events. It doesn't look like I have a choice a this point due to my hosptial/doctors' schedules. I'm probably being dramatic, but would anyone else be upset about this? It isn't like a shared bday with a parent or grandparent, I feel like cousins (esp. in this case since we see each other a lot) are different.

I think you're thinking too much into it, I bet it won't really be a problem considering their parties probably won't be on thier actual birthdays. I know in my family we do a joint party for family sometimes, not always, but no one has ever had a problem with it. Especially since it's cousins, I would think it will be fine.

And besides, if you don't have a choice then you don't have a choice! If SIL or anyone is bothered by it, they'll just ahve to get over it. You have to do what is best for you and LO.

Oh, I have a SIL like this...you are NOT making too much of it.  I hear ya.  I thought I was pregnant the month before I actually I am now and I would have been due the same day as our niece's birthday.  I can only imagine what would have ensued.  Regardless, you need to have your baby when you need to have him/her - and if I had been pregnant the month before - WHATEVER... But I do understand where you're coming from!

I'm having a c-section on October 2 which just so happens to be my husbands birthday so I feel your pain. He thinks it's great...I think it sucks etc Maybe you'll get "lucky" and go into labor earlier. <= I had a scheduled c-section with my daughter as well and didn't like the date (my sister was going to be out of town) but the date was set. I had her 2 weeks before that date

Thanks ladies. I know in the end it is going to be what it is going to be. I just wanted my baby girl to have her own day!
