Thinking about baby #4

Good morning ladies,

 It's been a couple years since I have been on this sight and thought our last little bundle we would have would be it.

Surprisingly my DH brought up a crazy idea of adding a 4th to the family. Ever since he brought up the idea I cant think of anything

else. Finding myself watching Baby Story and other little pregnancy show's I thought I would never want to see again. Anyway's

mom's that are having their 4th child or have more. My question to you is how was your first thought of adding another one to 

a full house? My mother n law is not to happy about the idea and scares me about being a young mother with 4 kids is not wise.

Not that young by the way I'm 32 DH 35 married 13 years.Not sure why we own hour home 2 great jobs and more love than we 

can pass around. I really want this but would like to get your experience about adding or thinking about adding another child 

with other children in the house DD 9, DS 5, DS 2. Thanks Ladies

I think the process is the same no matter what number child you are considering having. There are short term changes and long term effects. For us, we weighed the exhaustion and time commitment and financial effects. For us, having 3.0 means a reduction in my work hours and delaying our dream of a beach house. It wasn't enough to deter us. Having a fourth would impact our ability to fund college and take family vacations, so we probably won't.

Why are you discussing your plans with your mother in law?  Unless she supports you financially or provides daycare I'm not sure why you care what she thinks.
