Cute or different ways to announce pregnancy through text?

Any ideas on this? Close family and friends I have told personally but would love some ideas on how to do it differently via text? Thoughts? TIA!

I personally don't think it's tacky at all.  I've had a few friends who have done this before they were ready to "publicly" announce it.  Personally, we are telling most of our close friends in person as we see them.  Although, I will probably send a text to friends we don't see all that much, but still talk frequently.  The rest will find out via the grape vine

Ideas: send a picture of Prego spaghetti sauce, picture of the positive pregnancy test, I had a friend who made cookies and put the due date on them ... I had a friend who just sent a text picture with her and her husband and it said "Price of a text message: 25 cents, Price of our outfits: $100, You realizing there are 3 people in this picture: Priceless"... I thought that was cute too

We won't be able to see a lot of our family, so we individually texted an ultrasound pic to the ones we wont see soon with a message like "thought you'd want to see the first pic of your [grandchild, niece or nephew, etc] before he or she arrives in March." Each person called us instantly and seemed really excited.

It was fun to share the ultrasound pic since that was where things went so wrong last time (and our family all knew that).

I'll be texting my brother & sisters. We don't really talk on the phone (I don't talk to anyone on the phone really). But I don't live anywhere near them & I don't want them to see it on FB first. They'll get individual texts with an ultrasound pic probably. It's not my favorite way to announce something like this, but in person just isn't an option for me.

I have a picture of DD in her "I'm going to be a big sister" shirt and I've texted it to a few people, knowing they would call me and I could tell them. For me it's more fun/interesting than calling them and waiting for the right time to say, "well I'm knocked up again." I agree that a mass text to everyone in your contacts is a bit much.

Yeah I'm not going text 30 people at once- but there are people that stay in touch through text so I would be texting them individually. I agree a group text is not the way to go- but I'm ok with individual ones.

One SIL sent a group text to us all with a picture of their dog & a onesie rivht before a family get together. That way we all knew by the time the happy couple arrived.

My other SIL sent a text to the family saying "Jones party of 6, your table will be ready Dec. 31st." At first I thought she was inviting us to a New Years Eve party, but it turns out she's having her 4th child! Haha. I didn't think either way was tacky!

I received a personal text from a close friend saying "there's going to be a new addition to the _____ family". But then again, my SIL did the same thing for their new dog. Lol. Im prob going to text a few friends all separately with the U/S picture and say "so what do you think, looks more like me or more like fiancé?" That's all I got so far. I wanna make it fun for those I don't speak to very often.
