XP: Talk to me about Registry Completion Discounts

My baby shower was today - totally awesome, so much fun and we're beyond grateful for the wonderful gift and well wishes from friends & family.

I would like to finish up organizing baby things and the nursery well before baby comes and would like to use my registry discounts when purchasing the rest of our registry items.  We registered @ Amazon & Target.

Can I change my due date on my registries and get the discount a little sooner?  My due date is 9/30.  If I can change it on the registries, what should I change it to?  I was hoping to pick up the rest of the items by the end of this month or beginning of September.

Also, can someone tell me how to upload an image?  When I upload to tinypic, then click on the "insert image" icon and put in the URL from tinypic, it just shows up as the word "image"....

Yep! Definitely change the date. It will still be a few weeks lag time, but you'll get the discount coupon sooner.

So, what date should I change it to?  Like, 9/1 instead of 9/30, or should I change it to a date next week or something?

I know the Amazon one just shows up on your registry 1 month prior to the date, so I can just change that one to early/mid-September...
