For your baby shower, how far in advance were tour shower invites sent out?

Maybe I'm a little AR but my shower is supposed to be in three weeks and from what Im aware nothing has been sent out yet...

i would do a month, esp. in the summer months when people are taking vacation...

Mine were sent out less than 3 weeks before, for whatever reason. Most of the guests didn't even receive them until 2 weekends before....

I have thrown baby showers before, and I would always send them out at least 4 weeks prior. People need time to plan!!

At least a month, if not 6 weeks.

For our shower on the 18th, they were sent out 4 weeks in advance.  

As for the shower on the 31st, I haven't gotten anything and don't know if SIL is sending some out.  It's no big deal to me because it's all H's family and we know who will be here and who all they're telling to come down.  Instead of a family trip at the beach that was planned earlier this year, they're all driving between 3-5 hours to have the shower here.

I think mine were sent out 6-7 weeks bc of it being the summer wanted to give people plenty of notice. Otherwise I would say 4 weeks.

I'm in same boat as you.
I know my friend is planning it.
Yet I haven't heard a single thing except for the "colors" she choose and she wanted it to be Sept. 1st. (Yea Labor Day weekend...brilliant)
I haven't so much as given her a single address or guest list.
I'm waiting to be asked...I don't want to be pushy.
Of course this is 'tea sandwich' girl so who the heck knows when or what she is doing.

I know it sounds like I'm ungrateful...I'm really not. I'm touched she wants to do this for me...I'm just a planner and I'm getting worried and anxious because I have no control!

Mine went out four weeks in advance.

Mine should be going out about 5 weeks in advance. They were supposed to go out last week, but my hostess was going out of town and I didn't get my list to her in time to get it all done. They should go out early this week. I feel like we're cutting it close, although looking at a calendar, it doesn't seem so bad. I'm just paranoid.
