Why is it so expensive!!

Why does infertility treatments have to be soooooo expensive!  I am only doing an IUI right now and the bills are piling up!  I can not imagine what you ladies have gone though with one or multiple IVF!! 

What could possibly cost this amount of money for the little of treatment i have received!

Babies are so cute, cuddly, sweet... expensive.. little bundles of amazing joy!

TTC 2 years and BFP! High risk pregnancy - high BP, Gestational diabetes on insulin, 4 blood clotting problems on lovenox 2x a day TTC again 3 years - BFP 3/2013. Lost baby 4/2014
Referred to RE by high risk DR - diagnosis unexplained female infertility and 2% morphology male infertility.
Clomid/ovadril Without IUI - BFN 5/2013
Clomid/ovadril Without  IUI - BFN 6/2013
Clomid/ovadril With IUI -  7/31/2013 and 8/1/2012 BFP WITH TWINS!  Vanishing twin @ 7wks

EDD with surviving twin 4/25/2014!

    Yep. It costs a lot of money to deal with IF.

    I recommend starting a blog though...it has really helped me to be able to have a space all my own to vent and talk about everything I am going to. Super easy to get started as well!

    3rd U/S- 7w4d HB of 157bpm!

    It is very expensive.......We have done 5 IUIs and just completed our first IVF.  I feel financially that we can't get ahead. And we have taken out a loan for the ivf.. In the end it will all be worth it when we are holding our precious little ones!

    TTC SINCE 7/2010, BFP-10/2010 ended in miscarriage 11/2010 : (.....
    Progesterone level 4/2011= 11.29. SA normal. HSG normal.
    8/11 Clomid 50mg=BFN progesterone level 35,
    10/11 Clomid 50mg =BFN progesterone level 31,
    11/11 Clomid 50mg=BFN progesterone level 12,
    12/11 Clomid 50mg=Progesterone 31
    01/12-Break from meds-BFN
    Feb-cd3 blood work FSH(5), AMH(0.56) 02/12 Break....
    03/01/12-Clomid 50mg with IUI #1=BFN.
    04/01/12-Another round of clomid with IUI#2=BFN.
    5/8/12-Diagnostic Laparoscopy-found minimal endometriosis and small fibriod.
    June and July-much needed break
    August-Bravelle 75 with IUI#3- BFN
    September-Bravelle injects with IUI #4-BFP!! MC 10/7/12 : ( Sonohysterogram-Normal
    December- Bravelle(3 good follicles & E2 1252) with IUI#5 BFFN :*(
    July IVF #1- BFP! : )  Beta #1-245, #2- 703, #3- 1655, #4- 3553 YAY!  Praying and Praying this one sticks around!
                      1st U/S scheduled for Aug 23rd!  
    Twins!!
    We are having a BOY & a GIRL !!

    Its hard not to be bitter towards people who take getting pregnant for granted. Its so expensive, stressful, and emotionally draining. 

    Me: 32  DH: 34

    TTC #1 since June 2011, RE December 2012

    HSG: tubes clear SA: Perfect AMH: 0.9 in Jan 2013 0.7 in March 2013

    Femara June 2013: No repsonse. Serophene July 2013: No repsonse

    Follistim August 2013: 12 follicles, 4 mature, IUI, and a BFN. 

    April 2014: Lost 30lbs, got my thyroid under control. Started IVF 

    May: BFP! EDD 1/6/2015 Heatbeat 167!

    Now: Canyon James born 12/30/14 at 6:21pm via emergency c section. 9 lbs 19 1/2 inches
