I have had terrible lower back pain since yesterday evening and a lot of lower cramping. And very frequent Braxton hicks all day. It's probably normal I'm guessing but it just started bad like this yesterday afternoon. I've been feeling fine before then...
Re: 36w5d --Terrible back pain and cramping
I think a call to your doctor is probably in order but here is my experience with this. I was having the same thing a few weeks ago, didn't think a whole lot of up but then decided to time the BH contractions. They were consistently 10 minutes apart so I called OB, they said to lay down and drink plenty, see if they stop. They didn't, and they had me come in to L&D.
It ended up just being the BH but the OB did a lot of tests and made sure there wasn't more to this. It could be absolutely nothing or it could be something easily treatable like a UTI or other infection. There's also a chance it could be much more serious.
When I have something like pain and cramping that happens all of a sudden and I haven't felt like that before, I call the OB and talk to them. There is no reason not to check with them and get reassurance.
Well, I'm not a doctor but if I had to make a guess I would say it's because you are in the last month of your pregnancy.
You have come on to a public online forum asking medical questions of people that
a) aren't doctors
b) can't examine you
c) have limited information
Expect answers that you don't like. Period.
If you're that concerned about it, call your doctor and don't waste your (and everyone else's) time posting and waiting for responses.
This isn't Jr. High. There ARE actually stupid questions here. If you don't like the answers you receive, go elsewhere.
I mean, that's a plan.
