Belly sleeping

What would you do. My MIL informed my H today that lo was side sleeping today so when he fussed she put him on his belly to sleep and I guess he did great. Lo has been rolling. Tummy to back for several weeks and is almost there rolling back to belly. Would you place them on their tummies at night if hey do good? Or just wait? Also should I tell her to wait to? She checked on him quite frequently while he slept. Thanks!

DD instantly rolls over when I put her in her crib.  The first few nights she fussed but got used to it and I let her sleep on her belly.

DD often rolls on to her side or belly, which I'm fine with, but I always put her down on her back for naps and at night.  If she gets to her belly on her own I don't worry about it, I just don't start her off there.
